The India Toy Fair 2024
The India Toys Fair 2024 will start on
- 18 – 19 January, 2024. Jio World Convention Centre. BKC, Mumbai, India.
- 6 – 7 June, 2024. Pragati Maidan. Delhi, India.
This is a landmark initiative that will help India in building new ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat‘ and promote the ‘Made in India‘ campaign, and ‘Vocal for Local‘ campaign of the Government.
The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Khilona Mela 2021‘ via video conferencing on 27th February 2021. The first India Toy Fair will be held virtually from February 27th will enable children, parents, teachers, exhibitors, etc. to participate in the virtual fair.
The Government of India has also launched ‘Toycathon’, an online toy hackathon for innovative toys/games concepts. Toycathon-2021 is conceived to challenge India’s innovative minds to conceptualize novel Toys and Games based on Bharatiya civilization, history, culture, mythology, and ethos. It has seen a great response from toy-loving students, teachers, start-ups, and toy experts/professionals.
Objectives of The India Toy fair

Through this platform, the government and industry will simultaneously consider how to make India the next global hub for toy manufacturing and outsourcing.

It will be a big boost to the toy manufacturing industries of India. All the toy products will be made competitive vis-a-vis global brands.

For the education sector, the knowledge sessions will provide information about play-based and activity-based learning, indoor and outdoor play, the use of puzzles and games to promote critical thinking, and overall on how to make learning more engaging and enjoyable.

First-ever digitally accessible exhibition and platform where you can buy a variety of toys from across states and union territories.

You will be able to access the products of about 1,000 exhibitors.

The knowledge session will involve various insightful webinars, panel discussions, and activities that will be participated by various experts, teachers, and children.

Especially for the Education sector, experts will focus on areas emphasized in the NEP 2020, and how to make learning more engaging and enjoyable.

Exhibitors include Indian businesses engaged in creating happy childhoods and educating children through play as well as NCERT, SCERTs, CBSE along with their schools and teachers, IIT-Gandhinagar, National Institute of Design, and Children University in Ahmedabad.
