The Fourth generation of Mahindra Scorpio will be launched in 2020, the seven-seater SUV became a household name in Indian car market after its launch in 2002, because of its massive hit and popularity.
The Nex-gen Mahindra Scorpio (Codename: Z101) have been sighted many times and its look and features have been revealed, it seems to be inspired by Mahindra Alturas G4 as it seems to have a large dimension which will also make enough room inside.
The interior will definitely better than the previous version as it will adopt a completely new body frame, the main addition will be the third row of seats which will be different than its current model.
The New Mahindra Scorpio 2020 was spotted in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu and seems to come up with a completely new design and technology. Last models of Scorpio haven’t seen much changes than its past model but this model will come with low roof profile and a vertical front along with this a new diesel engine will be provided in it.
According to reports the company have worked hard on its mileage and will surely be going to win the SUV market of India. The new 2.0-liter diesel engine is more powerful than its earlier versions. The new diesel motor will make a maximum of 170bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm, it will have a choice of six-speed manual and automatic transmissions and same engine is said to be used in next-gen Mahindra XUV500 and the new Mahindra Thar.
The design of the new Mahindra Scorpio is made from the Italian Design House Pininfarina. The revised body-on-frame of the new SUV will make it much lighter and have off-roading capabilities. You will see large changes in the front and the rear but the large pillars will stay as they were before. It will have rounded ends and more angular projector headlamps, a hexagonal radiator grille and high-set bonnet and will be a more hunched back vehicle as compared to its current model. It will have a raking windscreen in place of upright one as is found in current models. Apart from new and durable interiors with a completely new renovation, the new Mahindra Scorpio will also have improved and advanced connectivity features.
The fourth-generation Mahindra Scorpio will radically be a new product which will retain all its original character of an SUV and could be a challenge for its rivals like from MG Motor India (Hector), Tata, Kia Motors, Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai to upgrade their SUV.
