Indian Art Festival 2024
Indian Art Festival (IAF) – “democratizing the art presentation art viewing and buying processes”.
Indian Art Festival is a contemporary art festival to bring together art galleries, art dealers, art buyers, artists, interior designers, architects, and art connoisseurs under one roof. It is an exemplary opportunity for emerging, independent artists to show their work and grab attention among established artists.
Since its inception in 2011, it has brought over 400+ exhibiting artists and 50 art galleries from across India and Asian Sub-continent. It aims to reach both national and international audiences with its cultural history and development of the South Asian region.
This is the only art fair held in India in which major and mid-level art galleries with independent emerging artists celebrate contemporary art every year. Every year, IAF features close to 50 art galleries from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, and a few overseas countries like Canada, UK, UAE, Sri Lanka, Israel, Qatar, and Singapore.
The artist’s pavilion features more than 300 independent artists from 40 different cities from India and overseas countries. Art galleries and Independent artists participate with a wide range of artworks that include paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, digital prints, video art, and all other forms of visual art done in various mediums in more than 150 booths.
IAF is a social platform for visual artists and art galleries in India. IAF endeavors to fulfill its social responsibility of “democratizing the very art presentation, art viewing and buying process by mingling less articulate rural artists with the metro-bred urban artists and bringing out the very art buying process from the confines of conventional art spaces“.
India Art Festival 2024 is hosting four annual editions one at New Delhi, Bengaluru, and two at Mumbai.
New Delhi Edition – 1 – 4th February 2024 at NSIC Exhibition Grounds in New Delhi.
Mumbai Art Fair Edition – at Nehru Centre, Mumbai.
Mumbai Edition – at Nehru Centre, Mumbai.
New Delhi Edition – at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi
Bengaluru Edition – at Palace Ground, Bengaluru.
In the four-day art festivals at Bengaluru, Mumbai, and New Delhi, galleries and artists from rural and urban parts of the country will display all kinds of artworks including paintings, sculptures, photographs, original prints, serigraphs, and installations. Visitors can witness an unbridled form of refreshing creativity that satiated almost all kinds of dainty visual tastes – like seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes, rural and urban scenarios, nudes, figurative, still-life, semi-abstracts & abstracts, highly realistic, religious, and spiritual artworks – under one roof.
IAF attracted a little over 325,000 visitors in their last editions. Being the only multi-city art fair in India that hosts annual editions in Mumbai and New Delhi every year, IAF facilitated artists to create a network with the art galleries and help galleries to build a bond with the art dealers, collectors, and buyers.
