Guru Angad Dev Quotes
Guru Angad Dev became the Guru on September 7, 1539, following in the footsteps of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of the Sikh religion. Guru Angad Dev Ji, the second of the 10 gurus, compiled the writings of Nanak Dev Ji and introduced the Gurmukhi script. He practiced selflessness and human equality by organizing a community kitchen where people of all caste and creed used to sit together in a row for having the food.
The period of his Guruship was the most crucial one. Guru Angad, following the example set by Guru Nanak, nominated Guru Amar Das as his successor (The Third Nanak) before rejoining with God. Instead of his own son, he chose a Vaishnava Hindu Amar Das as his successor and the third Guru of Sikhism. He envisioned social equality and classlessness deeply imbibed in the future society.

Twenty-four hours a day one looks for contentment in eight different directions but one must also explore the ninth place, which is to their own body, and contemplate within.
