Government Decides To Repeal Article 35 A and 370
Home Minister Amit Shah announced that the government has decided to repeal Article 370 of the constitution which gives Jammu and Kashmir a special status. Further government has decided to bifurcate the state into two Union territories Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Recently Central Government has issued an advisory and has warned Amarnath travelers and tourists to stop their journey. Passengers have also been asked to go from the base camp of Amarnath pilgrims. These passengers have no option left other than to leave the base camp.
There is also a major complaint regarding Article 35A that in 1954 it was added without permission to the Parliament directly to the constitution by the President’s order.

The announcement of the government to recall the passengers has caused panic among the politicians of Jammu and Kashmir, they are apprehensive that the Center is planning Article 35-A of the Constitution.
Article 35-A gives exclusive rights to the residents of the state in matters of government jobs and land. Governor Satpal Malik reinforced the speculation that there is no plan to abolish Article 35-A. Meanwhile, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah demanded that the government should issue a statement in Parliament on the special status of the state.
The three main politicians Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah, and Sajjad Lone are under house arrest and the state is under massive security. Internet and mobile services are suspended and public gatherings are banned in the state. Section 144 was imposed in the state from midnight and hours after that Home Minister scrapped Article 370 from the Indian Constitution.

The Order Released
Jammu and Kashmir get free after 72 years. Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley tweeted “A historical wrong has been undone today. Article 35 A came through the back door without following the procedure under Article 368 of the Constitution of India. It had to go.”
