Anant Chaturdashi – Wishes, Quotes and Message

Anant, another name of Lord Vishnu, means eternal, and Chaturdashi means fourteen, Anant Chaturdashi, also known as Anant Chaudas, falls 10 days after Ganesh Chaturthi. It is the last day of Ganeshotsav when Ganesh’s idols are immersed in water. It falls in ‘Shukla Paksha’ of the Bhadrapada month. There are thousands of processions on the beaches and riverside to immerse the holy idols of Ganpati in the sea. The procession is accompanied by beating drums, singing devotional songs, and people dancing and chanting “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Lavkar Ya”. Lord Ganesha departed, only to be welcomed the next year with equal excitement.
