Yogi Adityanath Is Narendra Modi Of Uttar Pradesh

Yogi Adityanath is the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government’s selection of a pure Hindu leader for Chief Minister post has been a shock for religious minorities and we are getting all sorts of positive and negative responses.

“My government will work for all, not specifically for any caste or community,” said Yogi Adityanath and have been initiated major steps since taking charge of the office.

Five big decision was taken by Yogi Adityanath so far:

  • Sealing illegal slaughterhouses

All illegal slaughterhouses would be closed down, there has been an incident of sealing of slaughterhouses after Yogi Adityanath was sworn-in. Tunday Kababi in Lucknow is famous for its buffalo meat, it has to shuts one outlet due to meat shortage. For the first time since it opened, it served the restaurant served chicken and mutton kebabs to its customers.

  • Banning Tobacco

Banned chewing of paan, gutka, or tobacco in all government offices in the state. He was reportedly furious over red-colored stains of paan or betel leaf inside the office complex. This is a common sight not only in UP but everywhere in India.

  • Asset Declaration

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered all its officials to declare their assets within 15 days. The party’s national spokesperson Srikant Sharma said, “As uprooting corruption is the main agenda of our party, the CM in his first introductory meeting with his ministers directed them to give details of their income, moveable and immoveable properties with 15 days to the (party) organization as well as the secretary (to CM).”

  • Crackdown on Non-Government advisers

The earlier Samajwadi Party government has appointed many non-government advisors, the post was offered to their relatives and political favorites. The new Chief Minister has sacked all services from said advisers, vice-chairmen, and chairmen.

  • Anti-Romeo Squad

In order to control the sexual harassment incidents, the new government has asked UP police to constitute Anti-Romeo Squad. Which will be present outside school and colleges to ensure the safety of school and college going girls.

Who is Yogi Adityanath.

Mahant Yogi Adityanath was born as Ajay Singh Bisht into a Garhwali Rajput family on 5 June 1972 in the village of Panchur, in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand.

His father Anand Singh Bisht was a forest ranger. He completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University in Uttarakhand.

He left home around the 1990s to join the Ayodhya Ram temple movement. He came under the influence of Mahant Avaidyanath, the chief priest of the Gorakhnath Math, and became his disciple. Subsequently, he was given the name ‘Yogi Adityanath’ and designated as the successor of the Mahant Avaidyanath.

He has been the Member of Parliament from the Gorakhpur constituency, Uttar Pradesh for five consecutive terms since 1998. He is also the founder of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, a militant youth organization that has been involved in communal violence.

He was appointed as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, a state in north India, in March 2017 after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a majority in the 2017 state assembly elections in which he was a prominent campaigner.
