Tamil Nadu Govt. to give Pongal Gift Hamper

Tamil Nadu Government announced the distribution of Pongal Gift to the Family Card Holders. The Pongal gift hampers containing one kg of raw rice, sugar, cashew nuts, dry grapes, and two feet sugarcane to each cardholder.

This Gift hamper will be extended to rice cardholders, police cardholders, and Sri Lankan refugees staying in state-run camps. The distribution of Pongal gift to ration card holders commenced in Dindigul and Theni districts.

Also, 1.62 lakh saris and 1.62 lakh dhotis would be distributed and free Bi-cycles will be given to the 11th Standard students studying in Government and Government Aided Schools.
